11 years after the first experimental system in Val Rabbia, we have recently completed the update of the network, implementing the innovative Spider Debris Flow® system, the result of years of development and testing (which also took place in Val Rabbia), that have allowed us to implement technologically advanced, fast and robust sensors.
The new monitoring and alerting system allow not only a clear improvement in terms of efficiency and effectiveness, but also a significant saving in terms of costs and extraordinary maintenance.
The equipment was mounted in 6 measuring points along the stream that descends to the valley.
Tear-off sensors are able to notice when large boulders begin to move due to the upstream rains.
Downstream, acoustic and visual signaling systems warn the valley of the potential danger and block the transit of vehicles and pedestrians in the two bridges that connect the villages of Rino and Sonico.
To complete the entire alert network, the dedicated APP that allows you to check the status of the measuring points and receive alarms in case of potentially dangerous situations.
An important step forward that allows to guarantee greater security for the areas below.
